Letters From God

Julie Andrews

If I deliberately choose to say or do something that causes offense - then that is "My Bad". But if I don't mean to give offence and You Take it - then that is "Your Bad".

So much of what is said and written in God's name is, in fact innocent of offence. The Bible itself is for our benefit and instruction, not for private interpretation but to be put in context with itself.

But so many people Take offense at it - they change and rewrite the Word according to their own understanding and beliefs. They think they can do that "at will", that the Bible is a book to be edited and revised by men. They forget that it is written by the Hand of God. It is not as any other book in the world.

It is Holy to Me because it is written by Me. Therefore, as the Author, I am offended by man's revision and rewriting of what is perfect in My sight. I take offense at man's revision. AND I CAN.

Beware O Man of your manipulation of My words. That if you put words in My mouth that come from you as though they came from Me, I will cause you to account for each and every one of those words as Truth. Because that is who I AM - I AM Truth. And if you have added to, or taken away from, My Truth I Will hold you accountable.

By doing this you have chosen to judge My words and found them false. You have placed your own thoughts above Mine. You have treated My words with contempt and subjected them to your own judgment.

By this you have taken offense at Me. You have taken the perfect and rearranged it  to reflect your own imperfection as it pleases you.

So did the Children of Israel when they made a calf out of gold and chose to worship it and revere it as the god that had taken them out of Egypt. They chose to worship an object made in their image, over Truth, which was Right before them. (The cloud and the pillar of fire)

Blessed are you if you are not offended in Me.

Sometimes the saying of Jesus are hard, "except you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you". Yuk! Cannibalism! is what they thought he was saying, but the 12 stayed and were not offended.  Later they did understand: the last supper, death and resurrection, and later still, communion.

Everything that God/Jesus/HolySpirit say and reveals has purpose and meaning in the Kingdom. Many times we don't understand the significence of these, but if we chose to believe, God reveals the Truth later and we have an "Ohhh" moment. First though we need to believe. He stretches our faith so we can grow and mature.

Our God needs men (and women) of faith and trust to rule and reign with Him when He returns. Mature Belivers, faithful servants, close friends, trustworthy individuals who can handle the responsibility of leadership with Him.

I am reminded of Daniel, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego. They were men of renown and excellence whom the king Nebuchedneza recognised and promoted to persons of authority. And with authority comes power. In the Kingdom that can only be given to tested and tried individuals. Not just anyone may receive the elevation but only those whom the King finds worthy.

Work therefore to enter at the straight and narrow gate that leads to eternal life. Study to show yourself approved. For in Me your work is never in vain. I see and observe all men. Nothing is secrete before Me. Therefore do the work of the Kingdom by choice always.

2 Peter 1:20-21  knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit

Rev 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Exodus 32 The Golden Calf

Psalm 111:2 God's works are so great, worth A lifetime of study - endless enjoyment! MSG (Beautiful!)

2 Tim 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that has nothing to be ashamed of, rightly dividing the word of truth

James 1:25 However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget;
they actually do what God's teachings say. GW
