Willingness

The flesh is weak but the spirit is willing. This is how My people are. They do long to do My Will and live in My ways but the flesh (natural mind/desires) gets in the way of the spiritual desire.

There is no condemnation  but there is conviction. My Holy Spirit inside you will convict you of sin, lawlessness and iniquity  - that is for your benefit. Imagine how you would be if you did not have to contend with the flesh (bring it on!) The fight is not to the strong (in the flesh) but to the perseverance of those in the Spirit.

As you overcome the flesh/natural mind, the mind (of man) is changed - literally growing trees of righteousness  and the Spirit connection is strong. Bit by bit the strongholds of the flesh are broken so the desires of the Holy Spirit are able to be done. You are changed and righteousness is brought forth. That is why there is no condemnation because the desire is present.

It is for your benefit that you should repent and confess your unbelief and hardness of heart towards Me. So that it can be forgiven and washed away by the blood of Jesus. It is the transforming ongoing work of righteousness within you - the polishing and refining work of the Spirit. But always done in love and kindness.

I rejoice when and as you yield and submit to desire My will and choices for your life. I can bless you so much more. I can commend you for maturity and full sonship. My delight is in you.

Matt 26:1 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Roman 8 1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Roman 8:5-6 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 2:4-7 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
